This is the final update of the upcoming sixth biennial conference of the Athenian Policy Forum  (APF) to take place at Loyola University Chicago, August 16-18, 2002, coordinated by Professor A.G. Malliaris, under the auspices of the Athenian Policy Forum, Inc. with the collaboration of:

          -  University of Oklahoma.

Please see attached program of about 50 papers organized in several sessions.

At this point we would like to ask the Conference participants to do the following:

(1)  Please confirm, as soon as possible, the exact title of your paper and institutional affiliation. We would like to prepare an “official program” with a minimum of mistakes.

 

(2) Please send your registration fee of $50.00, payable to: THE ATHENIAN POLICY FORUM and mail it by July 20, 2002 to:

CONFERENCE HEADQUARTERS AND HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS

All sessions will take place at the 25 East Pearson building of Loyola University Chicago.

Late Registration and Conference material will take place on Friday morning, August 16, 2002 the conference will start on Friday, August 16, at 9:00 am until late afternoon.  Meetings will continue on Saturday.

A block of 20 rooms has been reserved for the participants at the TALBOTT HOTEL, 20 East Delaware Place, Chicago, Illinois, 60611, phone 312-944-4970.  The hotel is 3 minutes walking distance from Loyola University Chicago.  These rooms will be released July 5, 2002.  To make your own reservation at conference rates starting at around $150 per night per single bed, please call the hotel no later than July 5, 2002, and identify yourself as a participant in the ATHENIAN POLICY FORUM/Loyola University Chicago Conference.  Individuals with special arrangements with specific hotels are free to make their own reservations.  Most major hotels are located only minutes away from the conference headquarters.
